Have you ever happened to uncork a bottle of Chianti that looked identical to one from a few weeks earlier, from another winery, from another label?
This happens because today taste is decided by the market, and wine is forced to adapt: it changes to please, blunts corners, loses its soul.
L’Agona is the Terricciola winery that has decided to rewrite the rules.
It is the terroir that chooses the flavor of our wine, not the market
We are a family-run winery tucked away in the hills of Terricciola, in the province of Pisa. Here we have chosen a road that few people take: planting 9000 vines per hectare Not to produce more, but to produce better. Less grapes, more concentration, no shortcuts.
And no, you don’t get Chianti from us.
“A winery in Tuscany that doesn't produce Chianti?”
That’s right. Because we do not bend to a specification that dictates how the wine must be. Here we let the vineyard and the land decide, not fads, not numbers, not market logic.
Take, for example, our Il Presuntuoso, a pure Sangiovese that we call Sangiovero: it allows you to taste all the personality of our grape and our land, without standardization of flavor designed to please everyone.
Those who make wine to sell it do not choose this path, we do. And when you taste our labels you can tell right away.

Eternamente
A wine that combines the strength of Sangiovese and the smoothness of Merlot. Eternamente is the sincerest expression of two varieties that complement each other for an elegant and profound result without compromise.
Il Presuntuoso
A pure Sangiovese that is not afraid to stand out. The Presumptuous is a wine that expresses the strong character of Tuscany, perfect for those seeking a bold, intense experience with a strong personality.
L'Iroso
A Merlot in purity that encapsulates the power of our land. Pure Iroso is a firm and enveloping wine, perfect for those seeking elegance and complexity in a sip. Its intensity leaves its mark without ever being overpowering.
Lamillesimata
Our Classic Method produced with Pinot Noir. A wine that encapsulates the excellence of Tuscan bubbles, fresh, creamy and persistent. Lamillesimata is the perfect choice for those seeking a burst of elegance and freshness in every sip.
La Santa
A rosé 100% Sangiovese, fresh and refined. La Santa is a celebration of our land, a wine that tastes of summer, light, and serenity. Perfect for those looking for a versatile wine that adapts to every moment without ever losing its identity.
